RANT ABOUT ADAPTER.

Okay, so a while ago (about five days ago),  I bought this:

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001AATQ0Y/ref=ox_sc_act_image_1?ie=UTF8&m=A3V6BK4D0HKA8F

This is a PS2 to USB converter from Amazon. The product has about a 4-star rating, and apparently works “flawlessly” with Stepmania.

I got the adapter today and I was so excited to get it calibrated. I configured the keys (up, down, left, right, start, select, etc) and I thought there weren’t any problems.

Then I actually played a song.

“Hm, that can’t be right. I’ll try playing another song.”

“What? It still doesn’t work?”

“What the actual hell.”

Needless to say, the results were beyond disappointing.

The program seemed to not be able to read two buttons being hit at the same time quick enough, which is really weird.

Then I looked at the features. One bullet point said:

  • DDR dancing controller is compatible.

“Bull. Crap.” I thought to myself.

Then I read another bullet, that made me feel like an absolute idiot for not researching this:

  • Compatible with Win98, win98se, winME, Win2000, Vista & the newly announced WinXP, together with the Directx 7.0a or above.

I forgot to check compatibility.

I have Windows 7.

Windows 7 is not on that list.

Now I feel stupid.

Mkay, well I’m gonna try to find out if I can return this. Unless one of you guys knows how to solve this dilemma?

UPDATE #1: Well, I can’t return it. “Most items can be refunded, exchanged or replaced when returned in original and unopened condition.”

FACK YOU AMAZON.
